You may have heard The WST Bluegrass Band at the
Texas Folklife festival in San Antonio, at State AFLCIO
conventions, or at Municipal and State events throughout
Texas. The band has also played the Austin International
Airport, in festivals in Brady, Llano, Bryan-College Station,
Bastrop, and of course Austin. WST plays as many as
eight shows each season on the Bluegrass Music Capital of
Texas stage at Oakdale Park in Glenrose,
Texas.

It is not uncommon to hear WST on radio stations
in Mississippi, Alabama, and Texas. They played on the
University of Texas award winning radio program "Folkways," as
well as several appearances at the famed Broken Spoke and the
Texas Chili Parlor. The WST Bluegrass Band remains
extremely popular as the famous "Green Mesquite" Sunday night
house band. A giant color mural on the patio shows the
band in action. A sight to see and enjoy while listening
to the hard driving licks and sweet harmonies of the "Most
Entertaining Bluegrass Band in Texas!"

The Green Mesquite is home for WST,
and is where they play regularly when not traveling.
They are always heading the lineup on the third Friday night
of every month at the Manchaca Fire Hall "all-you-care-to-eat"
Catfish Fry. Where you can eat good food, hear great
music, and have a fabulous time for the whole family.
WST is often joined by local and nationally famous musicians
and singers. Many of these performers often join WST for
exciting and often unpredictable musical
moments.
